As I usually do when I finish soldering a piece, I admire and critique it on the table, wondering if I used the right colors. This is not the right process, because as soon as I hold it up to the light, I see that I made the right choices. Never second guess yourself; the first choice is always the best.
It amazes me each time I lift up that newly finished piece how it re-affirms my love for glass and all the complexity the glass offers. What appears to be a very yellow butterfly on the table turns into a beautiful yellow and pink butterfly in the sun…just as I was hoping.
